I do sometimes enjoy reading Andrew Keen's columns, but he does seem to have an inflated view of his own importance. Amazingly enough, people may actually have good reasons for either disagreeing with or ignoring him, it is even possible to disagree with him for reasons other than those he likes to claim.

i also like your comments about Socrates. They're rather relevant in modern society because we seem to be overrun with exactly the same type of smooth-talking salesman that was just starting to infect Greece in Socrates' day. They used to be called "sophists"; nowadays they're called marketers or public relations specialists, but like the sophists of old, the focus remains on winning arguments rather than discovering truth.
