Quick sand
Personally I find a lot of value in Wikipedia as a quick and handy online resource. Because of its rather novel makeup, I am willing to cut the Wiki crowd a little extra slack to boot. But I have to agree, every institution has to protect its credulity and integrity, and draw a line in the sand as to what it will and will not accept as part of its "minimal requirements". And one of those must be HONESTY from their contributors. I admire Wales for what he has produced, but in this regard he should have gone more forward in drawing the lines, making it clear such things are clearly intolerable (instead of hedging his bets on the issue).

Anything less and it becomes a resource built on what amounts to quick sand.
