Yes, but...
Entrepreneurs who are primarily worried about dilution are probably worried about the wrong thing. Yes, dilution isn't pretty, but it's the tradeoff you make to get funded. Would you rather be king of the garage or prince of the planet?
And yes, it would send a very bad signal if CRV were to not participate in round A. This is always the case when an existing investor decides not to participate in a following round. It will always send a bad signal to other investors, especially new investors - no matter what CRV would say in public or private at that point, the new guys would figure they know something, and it ain't good.
