you give no concrete examples only ethereal ideas that go nowhere. You talk about services as though it is something other than software. Everything you propose goes back to the fact that you still have to have infrastructure and software before you can even get started. You use terms that you never define. You throw around terms like architecture and never clearly define it.
I don't believe SOA even exists in any form or fashion. Companies use software on someones hardware. I challenge you to develop any solution without the two. There is no services and there is no architecture without the hardware and software. So how are you going to invest in the former without investing in the latter.
Every time I read one of your article I have to laugh at the terminology you use. It is NEVER defined. You throw the terms out there like you are on to something big. But when it comes down to it, no matter what terminology you use, software and hardware have to be there.
I challenge you to present a real life presentation of SOA. Instead of throwing the terms around, show us someone's actual SOA. You can't do it because it all comes back to plain hardware and software like everyone uses already.
If you can actually present SOA as it actually exists somewhere in the world, that is, show us some real life implementation, and then compare it to what you think it is replacing, your article may be worth discussing. The only thing you have done so far is tell us it exists and that so in so has implemented it. Never is there anything concrete.
SOA has got to be the biggest ruse to come down the IT pike. No one can actually present any concrete examples of it being in place and then show how it is any different than any other hardware and software implementation. - Posted by: bjbrock Posted on: 11/03/09 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
