I tend to agree with him on the Linux and usability part. However Win7 and Mac OS X runs great on netbook

With google behind linux, we can expect greater usability and perhaps more ported applications from Win/Mac world

As for chrome OS as a thin client, it can practically runs any linux, unix and Windows applications provided it comes with the suitable software. Check out below the software required to do it
