RE: SOA for the Enterprise Morass

On this one, if it weren't for the different business market, I would have thought you were speaking of my company. A few years ago, IT drove all initiatives and the business side basically followed them. Now they have le slightly lesser problem of the great divide (mostly political) between IT and business.

These scenarios definitely apply to all IT initiatives, and it is sad that the difficulties are so common. That it doesn't seem to change sometimes makes me regret my career path. But I live IT, so what else could I do and be happy.
