What should be top of President Obama's tech initiatives?

Technological Relevance: The first technology goal for the President should be to create a roadmap to return this country to a position of technological relevance. As we continue to outsource jobs and technology to other countries we are losing our position in the field of technology.

We hear a lot of talk about education and jobs, but very little about technology. We have people from third-world countries securing technical certifications in fields that the United States dominated at one time. Where are our programs to help our underprivileged train and certify in one of the myriad technical certifications available? We want to rebuild roads and bridges, but what about the minds of the next generation? What plan is there to rebuild their futures? Technology is the future.

With the number of jobs we've lost to competing countries we are losing our relevance in many fields of technology and doing little to counter the issue.
