Intel is heading to bankruptcy
With continuing loss of unit share and drastic collapse of pricing, Intel will post massive operating losses in the next 5-7 quarters and eventually BK. Mark my word, folks. This is just simple math. The only way for Intel to survive was to cut production and hike prices, they chose the exact opposite -- a road to BK.

Intel needs to sell only 20 Conroes to feed a worker for one month. 10K people need only 200,000 conroes.
Why did Intel have to layoff 10K people? That's because Intel can't sell that 200K conroes for whatever reason.

Intel's whole calculation was based on Conroe being able to push AMD into losing market share. I pointed out long ago that Conroe would do exactly the opposite. Thus, Conroe launch time would be DELL's AMD time. Why? I explained that to Intel, AMD and DELL folks. It does take some IQ to figure that out, but it is not that hard to understand. This was exactly what happened.
