RE: Consumer Watchdog blasts Google over privacy
I am always hesitant to let people collect information on me, but within reason I do. I am a little less skeptical with Google because they stood up against the "W" administration when they demanded all of their records on us, but still that same threat exists.

The government is looking for terrorists (or whatever). They get those search engine records. They then suspect everyone who did a search on any related materials or visited any "subversive" web pages. How can they know who accidentally visited the "subversive" page, who read it out of curiosity, who read it because they are against it and want to know what the enemy is doing, and who read it because they are part of it?

They can't tell the difference, so all of them are suspects. That is not reasonable.
