Sounds like a lot of people too lazy to setup a pop/smtp account.

This is the price you pay for free services. I block cookies to Google and just use it for search. I block cookies to other search engines also. You can retrieve your email from anywhere so using these accounts never made sense to me.

Scottish definition of Google. It is not "do no evil".
