RE: Google wants your Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL contacts: A password is a lack of openness? This is kind of extreme. Should Yahoo and others provide APIs to allow anybody to link into your e-Mail accound and harvest your contacts? No. If you provide a account and password the at least the control is in your hands.
