I think this is quite an interesting insight into where they're going with Google Notebook; this is the first real deep look at Google Notebook's javascript that I've seen.
I've been listing down the problems I see with Google Notebook here: http://www.dhirajgupta.com/Home/tabid/36/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/71/Google-Notebook-sucks.aspx
And it seems that their a lot of the javascript code that Garett picks up deals with the one thing that they missed out on, in their beta launch. Integrations.
A Gmail integration would be quite nice, as the "Email this" link on published Notebooks requires you to use an offline, rich email client.
