- Not just during breaks
-
Think about this: Google wants to attract as many people as possible to this new service, and it's via internet with Google's ad database... why even bother with commercial breaks? Just display context relative adds in some kind of side pane or a text scroller... Google makes money, people aren't disturbed, and you can open the ads in a background window, or even just click on them to have them sent to your gmail box for later perusal.
Customers get no commercial breaks, Google gets advertising revenue, and advertisers get a far more captive audience because all ads are context relative.
This is the revolution of TV, right here. If they hit this before anyone else does, Google stands to steal a HUGE portion of TV viewers from every other cable/satellite service out there. God knows I'd buy it in an instant. - Posted by: technodolt Posted on: 11/01/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
