What did 60 million bisons and their dung have on global warming. I understand the dung had high carbon and was used as firewood by early settlers.
My question is basically, before they were slaughered, did they contribute to global warming. Global warming is a hot topic in the news today. A 2000 pound bison could produce a lot of dung, extend that by 60 million of them that lived in the US plains, would that have a larger contribution to global warming than the skinny people that lived in the same period?
