Gotta like the field of AI. These people claim "we'll have human intelligence in 50 or so years." Yet we have a slight problem: We haven't the slightest idea how to objectively measure intelligence, much less recreate it. We barely know how our own brains work. The biggest "advance" in neural networks so far is finding out that yes, there is some structure to how the neurons are wired, and that it's not as haphazard as we thought it was. Wow, what an advance, eh?

Sorry, I don't think we'll see a real AI for a few centuries, perhaps a millennium.
