I'm not sure why the author has such a negative of using cadavers that were donated to science to improve the safety of the capsule.

The author pointed out that not all of the experiments or papers relating to the safety of the seats used cadavers and that those that did not yeilded significant results. None of those papers expressly stated that they were enough on their own so why not double check before we put live people into those seats?
