Can we just make limestone?
Limestone is Mother Nature's way of sequestering carbon dioxide. It's mostly calcite, Ca C 03. So, we'd need a source of calcium that doesn't come already carbonated ... There might be some chemistry possibly with gypsum/plaster of paris.

I recall someone showing that old Roman concrete was more limestone-like.
