stop messing with iTunes
and get a real MP3 player. You mess with your itunes 5 times and your profile is gone.

Restricting your data to a single program to manage is a bad idea. Working with programs and music directly is a much better solution. You know where the music is and how you want to manage it. Allowing iTunes to manage it will cost you all your $$$ that you've spent on it.

Take your MP3s, put them on CD/DVD and place it in a secure place until you need to copy them again.
