You DON'T NEED TO REPORT this for every stupid version of the OS. We know and for those that want to "THERE-IS-NO-WORD-SUCH-AS-JAIL-BREAK-BECAUSE-THERE-IS-NO-JAIL" there phone will find out about it anyway. To enable tether, when it's a service that you have to pay your phone company to get is a very bad idea. Are you hacking your Cable TV at home too to get free TV? Or your Internet connection at home? If this is an option for the carrier to enable that cost money, it's probably legal for at least AT&T costumers to do that and I think those costumers should be disconnected. Don't like it? Go and buy a Palm Pre or a Hype-Android phone. They are happy to take your money.

I think that Apple should update iTunes so it detects a hacked phone and won't communicate with it before it's restored, or just restore it automatically. Access to the App Store should also be blocked for hacked phones. iTunes should also check the hardware ID number for a hacked device and deny it any further updates. Apple should also deny press for sites that report on these sort of things access to conferences or Keynotes.
