I've also heard not to let a full battery stand too long
When storing Li-ion batteries for a long time, they shouldn't be fully charged, or so I've read.

I have to admit that "correct" battery usage is exceedingly hard to research. There is so much contradictory information out there from self-labeled experts that it becomes impossible to know who to trust. Making matters worse is that I've yet to find proper guidance from any manufacturer on this theoretical "correct" way of using a battery.
