Long life with low cycles for me
3+ years on my MPB 17" battery, 70 cycles. On the few times recently when I've actually been without AC power I've gotten a good two hours worth and maybe had 15% left on the meter.

I've had an Apple genius tell me the same thing WRT the benefit of frequent discharging, but he did have to admit that my old battery was in good shape despite me not having followed his advice.

I might just be lucky, but at 3 years+ I'm not about to consider changing my behavior.
