10.5.7 breaks hackintoshes
Where do I start? Should I use a fable or a Bible verse? How about a
line that goes, "the wages of hacking is death for the device".

Personally I think that Psystar is just the beginning. What does Psystar
have to do with this you ask? Plenty! From this point on no one will
be getting away with any kind of a Mac clone. This includes my good
buddy Jason. If you thought Apple was proprietary in the past, you aint seen nothing yet.

As a Windows user I user to suffer from the disease called roll your
own. I built desktops from my own configurations and stuck any
version of Windows and Linux I wanted to on them. I did this because
I was never really satisfied with products from the big name OEMs.
Sometimes I would go online to say Dell and configure a low end box
with plans for upgrades later. Yeah I was really sick with the Roll your
own Bug!

Then in the mid 90s I worked with my first Mac. That put me on the
path to a full recovery. I haven't built another Windows computer
since 2002. My last Windows purchases were units I just gave away at
their end of life cycle. I lost the urge to go through periodic hardware
upgrades.

The Macs cured me by showing me how a well built/ well thought out
computer didn't need any fiddling with. In other word you don't mess
with perfection. Apple is going to pull the plug on the hackintosh
cottage industry. Those of you with these cursed devices are going to
hit a technical wall soon. You will be stuck at OS X 10.5.6 forever!
