Idiots!
These folks and PsyStar are idiots! Have you ever tried to replace the motherboard on a computer bought from Dell? SURPRISE!!! Their customized OEM version of XP checks to see whether it is running on a genuine Dell motherboard. If it isn't, the system won't boot. You have to put back the Dell motherboard, buy an XP upgrade from MS for around US$100 and "upgrade" to the version you already have, then you can put in the new motherboard.

Do these companies really think Apple is that stupid? Apple is a HARDWARE vendor. If too many clones appear, it will simply put in similar software in the Mac operating system. Like MSIE, it could easily be "tied in" "all over the place" so that it can't be bypassed by hacking a few places.
