- I had a truly miserable experience with TechRestore
- Three years ago, when my iBook from TechRestore failed after a just few months, I went through a customer-support odyssey with them that discouraged me from ever dealing with them again. From breaking their promise to ship it back to me on the same terms I shipped it to them (overnight,) accusing me of having broken parts myself that failed on their own, shipping it to an address I no longer lived at, the person who I complained about it to afterwards promising to pass my information along and then not doing it, and finally the owner of Techrestore himself being not just uncaring that they had screwed up but being completely rude about it, and then hanging up on me when I demanded that they live up to their service promises. Their website made claims that customer satisfaction was very important to the but they didn't seem to care one way or another about how they treated me or about correcting their inexcusable mistakes once they'd been made. I would never buy from them again, and to this day relate my experience with them every time I get a chance, because they deserve it. My experience with them made me that angry.
