Upgrade to iPhone 2.0 software is OK now
My iPhone crashed during my attempt to upgrade this morning. I went home at lunch, fired up the PC and iTunes, put my iPhone in the cradle and it automatically started restoring. The restore took about 15 minutes and all my contacts, notes, pictures, videos, music, etc. were back and my iPhone was upgraded to 2.0 software. I installed ePocrates and Super Monkey Ball and everything is working great! I called my son and discovered he had the same experience. Initial crash and a successful restore afterwards. IMHO, the "crisis" is not as bad as reported.
