- Make sure you install Windows on that Mac

After all, none of what you've written requires OS X and Windows has the advantage of being able to play every codec that OS X can play plus all the Windows only codecs. Hey, this is the exact same argument as saying: get a Mac since it can run every OS that non Macs can run plus OS X! Since responding with but I don't want to run OS X isn't a valid answer (according to the Mac folks), neither is but I don't want to play Windows only codecs.
