Could it be...
How Microsoft, and Apple went about these changes?
Example: Yes, Apple did an OS change, but supported OS
9 for about two years, and gave, I would say, fair warning.
They also showed the path they were on, why they chose
the path taken, and the benefit to those who chose to
come along. Yes, Apple did a motherboard change, but
what has this stopped or slowed down? Again, they gave
warning, showed the path to be taken, why they were
taking this path, and the benefits. Plus they made
available the tools to do so. Has Microsoft done such?
Change is a fact of life, but how one goes about the
change is probably most important.
