Being on dial-up, it doesn't matter if the power goes out as my ISP lost power too and couldn't provide service, even though the phones still worked.
Considering how the St. Louis, MO, area has been hit this year, it makes glad I have a GENERATOR.
So, why don't you? Even a small one can run your fridge OR some fans & lights OR your microwave or - - - . 'Nuf said?
