Left AT&T Years Ago...
"I have zero to three bars (out of five) of coverage in my office if I move 18 inches, and I?d call my coverage at home "spotty" at best."

I left AT&T years ago for that very reason. I used to fly for a major airline, and had great reception everywhere I flew, but not where I live. I live 50 miles outside of New York City on Long Island, and I was lucky if I had cell coverage 50% of the time. At my own house I had to go outside & stand in one spot in my backyard, in order to get a cell. It would not work inside of my house. And there were many dead spots around my area.

I switched to Verizon (BellAtlantic at the time), and have never looked back. Coverage everywhere I need it.

I own an iPod, a PDA & a cell phone...and do not want an all-in-one (AIO) device. If one part of these AOIs dies, the entire device needs replacement. Not my idea of good planning.

I wouldn't own an iPhone on a bet even if many of its shortcomings are addressed. No replaceable battery on a cell phone? How stupid is that? A slow & outdated data network connection? Are they serious?

I thought Apple was the "cutting edge" in technology? I have two of their iMacs and love them, but there will be no iPhone in my future. Give me my Motorola RAZR maax Ve, with its Broadband Data connection from Verizon, that I can connect either my laptop or PDA to via Bluetooth, for fast Internet & e-mail access.
