Lucidera's Demise

As one of the early adopters of Lucidera, I can say that we believe that BI in the cloud is a viable business offering. One of the challenges is to provide a platform with hooks into as many potential data sources as possible, growing the footprint of reportable solutions quickly. That requires a continuing investment until companies can combine information across the enterprise. Salesforce was a great first integration point, and we looked forward to a broader set of data sources across financial, HR and other data models. Tough market, but great ideas. BI in the cloud particularly to the extent the solution can utilize the elasticity aspect, is compelling. More on my blog here: http://blogs.ingres.com/dougharr/
