Somr miscreant? How about some do-gooder?
"some miscreant may come along and skew the market in ways your model doesn?t reflect."

Like the way some "miscreants" destroyed the livelihoods of apothecaries by revealing to the public how to make simple home remedies themselves?

Face it, if somebody can destroy your market simply by giving away a piece of software or a service on the web funded out of their own pocket, to you they may be a devil, but to the public at large they may be a saint.

And I submit to you that a competent businessman should understand this vulnerability and look for another market, rather than pine for the "good ole days", because the vulnerability will never go away.
