Why?
After reading about the product I'm left with a "so what" and "why" would I want it feeling. I can see some niches where it might fit, but with the exception of those niches, why would you want to be on a monthly subscription for this? The posting says its main competitor is PowerPoint which people "perceive as free" because the already have it, but what about Open Office which really is free.

About the only complaints I ever seem to hear about Open Office are 1. slow start up times and 2. imperfect import and export with MS Office. On issue 1, I find it somewhat slower to start than MS Office but I'd be willing to put up with that since its Free. On import and export, Slide rocket claims compatibility with MS Office 2003 and 2007 - but at this point we have no evidence that it will be better than Open Office.

So we are back to the idea that unless you are in one of the niches that is a strong fit for it, why would you pay? Then again, Why to people pay for MS Office?

One other point is that since its only a replacement for PowerPoint and not the full MS Office or Open Office suite, you would still have to have one of the suites to get the word processing, spread sheet, etc functionality which means you will probably always already have a presentation product - making it even less likely you are going to want to pay for this.

I wish them luck but I wouldn't consider buying their stock.
