RE: Microsoft preps pay-as-you-go Office for June launch
This is a very interesting development. The pay-as-you-go model here is not so different from the subscription model Microsoft has offered for some of their other products in the past. Does it make a difference if Word is offered as a pay-as-you-use model? For instance can Microsoft offer creation of 10 documents for $10?

The current option assumes that all features of the Word software are equal? Is the spell and grammar check feature worth an additional $1 per use? Is the Autosummarize or Change tracking worth paying for? Surely Redmond is thinking about this.
