Dirty rhetoric
Phil I really must protest that you are playing very dirty here.

Some people raise some very real question marks over some of the claims made by SaaS vendors and these get dismissed as being the product of fear, ignorance or blind conservatism.

It seems to be that most SaaS implementations so far seem to be running what gets termed CRM but might be better termed contact management. How many companies are running core systems that deal with revenue on SaaS? I would guess very few.

You make claims that the user doesn't have to bother about such things as hardware and systems software with SaaS. Now say we takeover a company with two million customers and 400 million invoice items. I can just load these onto the SaaS platform of course and everything will just keep running, for all customers, just as it did before?
