SaaS as entree?
Great observations, Phil. Agreed, many ISVs will be shooting themselves in the foot. But I wonder how many ISVs will attempt to offer SaaS/hosted versions of their products as an entree to new customers that may or may not then move to a more traditional package? Vendors I've spoken with over the years seem to see SaaS this way.
