Murph's rose colored glasses
Every IT vendor out there is on the "green" energy kick - and there are many thin client providers around too. If Sun survives, it will still have stiff competition anyway you look at it. This new client virtualization stuff goes a step beyond DumbRay (into even dumber areas) - but it has MONEY behind it (unlike Rock right now).

In any event, Sun is positioned in the middle of the pack - as it has superior technology and poor marketing. We all know that Dollar Bill took poor technology and added superior marketing - and built the largest monopoly ever. That seems to be the better combination - since explaining technology to Barnum's people is a losing proposition.
