"...but losing everything is like the sun going down on me...
Ahhh what a great song...

Ok Rudy.

Sure IBM can't compete with Sun what with their stock about $100 more per share.

My advise is DON'T WAIT! SGI and Sun took a beating from Linux because they did not understand it and embraced it too late and in the wrong way.
If the planet waits for T2 to get traction and become cost effective and an industry standard and cheap......zzzZZZZ

Sun can't monetise all their fantastic technologies soft and hard. That is OK cos IBM will show them how it's done.

To suggest Sun being bought out is some sort of mistake that management happened to get caught up in is crack smoking. Sun gave away their power and have been accelerating towards the buyout cliff for half a decade now. Wake up!

Ah yes Intel's newest offering is rubbish because i7 is made by intel. That is a real "it's true because it's true" argument that all religion's use. Intel's ancient, badly structured, little endian.... CISC archetecture is crap but Nehalem is gonna rock anyway.
life is not fair Rudy so move on. i7 technology is nothing new but it is here and now and having a few spare cores on your silicon is a market oppotunity being worked on so don't anyone fret.

And lastly nobody cares about benchmarks when having the best technical solution is not the problem with Suns future. It is the silly muppets who are in charge and kept hitting the snooze button.

Rudy don't get depressed if IBM get Sun cos SCO might still win their lawsuit wink
