Ah, another of Murph's False Facts.
You said "and since 4.0 was basically just a VMS port to Intel"

Hmm, no, NT 4.0 was an evolution of the previous NT code basis. Yes, Cutler came from DEC, and NT has VMS influences, but there was no re-write from 3.5 to 4.0.

Then you followed with "it?s the first one actually produced by Microsoft"

Are you saying you think Windows 7 is the first OS produced by Microsoft since NT4?

As to the general topic of your blog, an Apple netbook might be interesting, but currently the driving factor or Netbooks is "cheap", and that's not something Apple currently does. You would have thought that Linux would be playing its strengths in a market for lightweight (meant in a positive way) and cheap O/Ss, but XP ia holding its own, with apparabtly considerable interest in Windows 7.
