What about the lords of storage?
You know, the guys whose entire life is dedicated to carving out disk space? How do these highly paid specialists maintain simple JBODS or 74xx devices? Where are the switches? Where is the fiber? You mean they might have to log into a *gasp* server and do things in a UNIX CLI? Revolt time!

Yes the SA's are revolting. Just when did a single, simple task of sysadmins become a career path? The $30 million extension cord called "SAN" did that. More bureaucracy, more cost, more CONTROL AHA! Now I understand. The Balkanization and Gerrymandering of UNIX extends into the storage space. This leads to customers demanding Windoze - so they can manage things themselves, shhhhhhh! A perfect example of Murph's centralized control in action.
