I knew the cheap shot was somewhere in there
But I had to wait until the very end to find it. Both systems had binary lock states. The Sun guys went with singularity and the Windows guys went with trinary lock states. However, your conclusion is that Microsoft stole the Unix model - I don't see how that works? These are two different solutions to the same problem, and it's the reason why proprietary software is so valuable to the IT industry as it encourages multiple lines of thought.
