Consider the following two quotes:

Wouldn't user requests involve programming?

The idea that any packaged software works perfectly at every company out of the box and forever seems an exaggeration. Your second quote seems more responsive to typical situations.

I think, Murph, that you're mixing two topics, call them live interaction products and user-directed IT. The fit can be uncomfortable.
