Perspective from iMac and Parallels owner

1. If a business is supporting a Mac with Parallels
environment, you're probably right. As long as the user
doesn't have to support the updates and patches for the
systems involved, you've increased the business support
overhead without doing anything to motivate users off of
the applications they have already learned how to use. The
same principle would apply if I bought a Mac for my wife.

2. As a stand alone Mac user, trying to maintain multiple
sets of patches and "security" software for Windows quickly
motivated me to move my preferred applications off of
SuSE and Windows. I was primarily a SuSE user when I
switched to a Mac.
