Client assignments, no thanks
I agree that Trust and empowerment are powerful motivators, but I doubt that there will be many cases where empowerment will be on the menu while assigned to a client area.

This will require a similar shift in thinking for the client, away from the typical us-and-them paradigm.

After 20 years of various types of environments and types of industries, I believe that the typical decision-makers in the business areas are incapable of creating an environment for the "IT-guy" where Trust, Empowerment and especially Team Focus are present
