Backwards Compatibility
Backwards compatibility is important for the most widely used operating system in the world. Gee, go figure... All the haters out there continue to criticize MS but we would not be where we are today without Microsoft.
What most likely you are going to see is a leveling of the playing field where both OS's start to look the same. Pretty soon, Microsoft will catch up on the elegance of MAC and MAC will catch up to the business functionality of the Windows OS. It is all going to be just a matter of choice and not all of this speculation that you are spewing forth...
