So that's why PJ bans "politics"
Not that it works, of course, but boy if you want to be provocative you've succeeded.

I won't argue the Democrats have clean hands. There is the old story of how after his death William F. Buckley's grandfather switched from Republican to Democrat. The reality though is, many of the people now being accused have close social links to the old Democratic machines, (though some don't) Democratic challenges would be more numerous in the current context because Democrats have, until this election which for now has evened it out for a while, been in the position where they would be hurt by these behaviors more often.

The Montana race was decided by a margin of about 1,000 votes more than would have entitled the candidate to a recount. The Virginia Senator was very clearly bowing to pressure from people who would see the recount as divisive. Over the last eight years the Democrats have certainly burned the house down. I can't argue with that. But the reality is sometimes recounts are necessary.

The other side of this is Sarasota Florida, where the Republican candidate won by about (slightly less than ) 400 votes while 18,000 in that particular race were not registered by people who had voted on other races in that district (and a bill to ban electronic voting passed). Since they had experienced and discussed software glitches in that race before, this margin of error, larger than the margin of victory, was declared unacceptable by both parties.

E-voting is not a partisan issue on the ground. You may like the idea of it, but few people think it's being implemented with any "intelligence". Conservatism with a small 'c' seems like a sensible approach for it right now. And if you want to bash democrats why don't you move to New York City?
