For someone that muses over people's actions
you sure don't have an interest in Psychology. Yes, Sigmund Fraud spoiled it for everyone with an intellect with his id and ego and pen1s envy. Other than snorting coke with, and raping his very rich client?le - his ideas are as fanciful as religion (which is what he turned psychology into). No wonder! People are turned off by pseudo science and the silliness of the purveyors of such.

Living in Nazi Germany instead of Vienna, Karl Jung came up with great psychological theories - but was universally ignored. His ideas are timeless though, so they make very good sense in today's world.

The MBTI (based on Jung's ideas) is a simple model really, 4 different "temperaments", with 16 total personality types. It is ONLY effective for OUTWARD expressions of personality - i.e. it's not some "mind shrinking" where you try to discover some deep truths of someone's psyche - and it doesn't work for people with psychological problems (neurosis and psychosis).

Unless and until you select a model for human behavior as a base, you will be left pondering and puzzling about people's intentions. That's fine for a 1hr talk show host, but just doesn't cut it for scientific analysis.
