Live and Learn Murphy, Live and Learn...
Remember that any lesson, learned with much difficulty tends to be remembered better and longer then a lessons with which we had help.

Thus our quality of life is improving, because we completed a task with much difficulty, even though the end result may not be as we had implied from the start.

So, we get our act together, cry a little in private and move on. Just as companies do, when we consider them as an entity with an ability to learn.
