Utopia
You are solving a problem while ignoring others. You are working WAY down the application stack at the hardware layer. Whether that is the biggest "pain point" is of much discussion.

What does the rest of your infrastructure look like? Those servers that are running SunRay software will have much of their processing "tied up" by users. You might be able to run some other apps, but realistically you will need to have additional servers for corporate websites, databases, etc. Even if you put everything on a huge SunFire server, you will still want some sort of redundancy. Tell me what your Data Center looks like.

The pain points that I constantly refer to are higher in the application stack - just above the OS level. Sysadmin gurus take get pride in "shoehorning" any app into their server infrastructure - even if that means that no standards are followed. Combine that with application developers that are clueless as to where files should be located (and how install processes are to be run), and you end up with a tangled, spaghetti mess of applications and data interspersed between whatever available storage there is. This causes maintenance nightmares for sysadmins, and WILL occur in your SunRay world if not checked early.
