I have no dispute with your underlying premise, but your comments on price & features are wide of the mark.

The Intel Mini did NOT drop Firewire: it's still there. Granted it's 400 not 800, but the port is still on the box.

The $100 price increase gets you a larger base hard drive, more base memory, Bluetooth and WiFi. If your argument is that the component costs of all these have dropped enough since the introduction of the last Freescale Mini, so there shouldn't have been a price increase, fine, but you don't make that argument.

By the way, I don't own a Mini (or any other Mac) and have no plans to purchase one.
