Install / no install
Some people make their entire living by JUST handling UNIX installs - they are called system administrators! Easy-to-install usually translates into a maintenance nightmare in an enterprise setting (not so much for single end-user machine). UNIX has NO standards (save LSB) for where to install apps (unlike C:\Program Files like Windoze), so they install ANYWHERE (in the filesystem). In MANY ways, this is the single biggest problem that UNIX has - and has kept it from the mainstream.

InstallShield is a true asset for Windoze. This combined with the Add/Delete Programs function make installing software on Windoze SUPERIOR to UNIX. While UNIX admins are still tarring up software and "hand installing" it (usually with a laundry-list of todos after the untar), Windoze users have full control over their software (well, except for when the Registry fails . . .). Until *NIX gets their act together in this area, Windoze will continue to dominate.
